Dumas Center for Artistic & Cultural Development
Adaptive and reuse development of a 90-year old historic hotel where celebrated African American filmmaker Oscar Micheaux resided in the 1920s, into offices and a performing arts center to be owned/operated by Roanoke Total Action Against Poverty, a well-respected Roanoke-area social service agency. Project is located directly across the street from the Strand Theater, now the Claude Moore Education Complex.
